It’s no surprise that people usually associate 90’s TV with Kenan Thompson.

Kenan Thompson’s been a fixture on our TVs for most of our lives. We first got to know him when he starred in over 100 episodes of Dan Schneider’s All That— and yes, we still crack up when we remember Pierre Escargot, Baggin’ Saggin’ Barry and so many other classic characters he portrayed.

After All That, Kenan and his BFF Kel Mitchell went on to star in Kenan & Kel. Kenan and Kel were the perfect best buddy combo on TV— setting a generation of bromance goals in the process! Between All That, Kenan & Kel and the Good Burger movie, Kenan was a Nickelodeon fixure from 1994 to 2001! At the same time, he was racking up roles in childhood film favorites like D2: The Mighty Ducks and Heavyweights. Kenan was nonstop, and he’s never really slowed down.

Kenan said a sad goodbye to Kenan & Kel in 2001, and in 2003, Kenan joined the cast of Saturday Night Live as a featured player. He became the first cast member to perform on both a kids and adult sketch comedy show, and went on to break the record for most celebrity impressions in SNL history. Today, Kenan is in his 13th season on SNL, tying him with Seth Meyers as the second-longest running cast member on the show.

In addition to all his work on SNL, Kenan has featured on many TV shows and movies over the years, including Felicity, Barbershop 2: Back in Business, Snakes on a Plane, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, a cameo as himself in iParty with Victorious and more! He recently delighted his fans by reuniting with his old friend Kel in a Good Burger sketch on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

Kenan’s been making us belly laugh since we were kids, and we know he’ll be putting smiles on our kids faces, too.
